Can somebody give a brief description as to why these are better than stock? I trust that they are, I'd just like to know why.

just think of aftermarket shocks, a trd swaybar or even the strutbar. First of all, these bushings are polyurathane and will be a lot stiffer than the rubber chunks our cars came with. Stiffer bushings might mean that there would be more vibration/noise transfered from the road to the car but in exchange you get crisp slack free handling and response with anything engine or suspension related. Secondly, for those grandpa cars like mine (97 Camry) the rubber bushings may be allready deteriorated due to fatigue or age so even a new rubber bushing is better than the stock let alone these polyurathane ones. Lastly, polyurathane is much more durable than rubber and will give you back that well built solid new car feeling instead of a loose agedfeeling car (like mine) hope that helps to explain a little. -John
