ATTENDTION!!! Ebay INTAKE ROCKS!!!

Ahaha now that I got your attention your like WTF is wrong with Dat....Truth is Ebay intake arnt that bad....IF you rig and cut it up ahaha.
Project_SR (My solaras project) undergo something that I didnt see many people do...I kept my stock intake box, took off that bottom snokle and all that gay piping...dropped in a K&N filter...so far so good..But the car was lacking some high end with that gay restrictive airflow in the upper part of the intake...so I tooked off that box and cut my ebay intake in half..Took that and rigged it into that place to give a free flow into that section Rather a 2 inch section its not 3 inch with no restriction...

Result...Low end is there since its a stock cold air intake...Mid range the K&N does an incredible job in flowing...High end..Not as powerful as a true short ram but with barely any restriction from that mid intake section and good flow I say roughly 60 to 75% of that high end was noticable...

Does anyone think this was cool or not? hehe..Just thought I tried something new and take notes on it..

i actually did the same thing before i got my cold air and honestly, i loved the low end grunt from that type of mod. All I did was take 2.75 piping, cut it and replaced that 1st intake resonator/silencer thing like what you did. low end breathing sounds a lot better than the CAI, but for top end motorcycle sounding top end, CAI is king :)Good job man

I agree man.
Good job on the intake.
Was goin to get a stainless steel tubin' and have some one cut it down from 3" to 2 1/4" i think and use that.
Was goin to get it from a guy in europe to do it for me.

Why dont you pay like a 100 bux more than that 20 dollar ebay intake, and get the injen. But understand that your vouching for 10horses (max) and you gotta change that sh!t back for smog check. I figured -- whats the point in going through all that trouble for 10 horses?

Good hack job Dat. Is it much louder? Its cool that it didnt kill your low end torque.

Fyi this will probably pull colder air than the injen SRI since our stock intakes are piped outside of the engine bay. I give you props for the creativity.
