Labor costs installing new struts / springs???

Labor costs installing new struts / springs???

Postby dbanker » Sat Dec 14, 2002 1:01 pm

I'm considering getting some new Tokico HP's along with Eibach Pro's and was wondering what other's have paid for the labor to have this, or any other strut/spring labor done.

I was just at my Toyota dealership and they quoted the cost as being roughly $500 - $600. I tried not to laugh... I just want to get a good idea what this can be done for then look around for similar quotes... I'm thinking anywhere from $200 - $250. Thanks-

I paid 50 bux for installing my eibach springs cuz i bought the springs from the shop for 200, so it's 250 for eibach springs installed :D , if u guys want to do alignment, i'll suggest that you guys go to firestone and do it, b/c they have a special for 129.99 lifetime alignment, which is worth the value if u do alignment for more than 2 times :o .

Wow I didn't know Firestone had a lifetime alignment deal. I have been paying $45 at Tire Pros each time. Plus I am always taking turns fast and hitting potholes all the time and messing up my alignment, so this is a great deal for me. I looked up my closest Firestone Tire & Service Center here: http://www.mastercareusa.com/

The one in Yorba Linda charges $149.99 for a Solara, but that's still an excellent deal for lifetime alignment. Thanks for the heads up talaznfoo.

Discount Tire Centers do lifetime alignments as well. They start at $99 and up.

I recommend Discount Tire Center in El Monte. Ask for Vic or Raffy (626)579-1182. They specialize in imports and lowered vehicles.

Discount Tire Center
10707 Valley Mall St.
El Monte, CA 91731

BTW, I don't recommend any Firestone service center for any maintenance. They are known to overcharge and do shoddy work.

Good Luck!

Ok cool I'll take your recommendation, I called up a Discount Tire Center in Orange (closer to my house than El Monte). They said $149.95, plus they have a $20 coupon off for the lifetime alignment. Sounds like a good deal to me thanks Flipside.

Labor costs installing new struts / springs???

Postby qlaval » Mon Dec 30, 2002 6:43 pm

dbanker ask:
...was wondering what other's have paid for the labor to have this, or any other strut/spring labor done.

My canadian Toyata dealer charge $300usd for the installation, TRD struts and springs (excluding the alignment).

I sure wonder if there is any lifetime alignments special like that in Canada.... If someone is aware of one, i would appreciate.

Eibach Tokico Installation

Postby Darren » Wed Jul 16, 2003 12:13 pm

I just got off the phone with my mechanic who has been telling me he would call with a total for about 3 weeks now and finally did it today after I had gone through all the trouble of getting my car there and now he says it will be at least $525 for the installation and $150 for the allignment. So now I have to go get my car and find someone reasonable. Does anyone know of a mechanic in the Kansas City area who can install Eibach springs and Tokico struts for a reasonable price?

2.4 hours of labor according to Toyota.

...you local speed shop can do it in under 2 hours. They have to take the back seat off.

tell them to be careful of the ABS sensors; they break easy.

actually standard time on that is 2.1 hrs for the front and 1.9 for the rear.
(which does not include the wheel alignment).
so, around here, the average labor rate is $84/hr which would equal $336 with no alignment.
and those ABS sensors will only break if you're careless.
