tokico quality?

tokico quality?

Hi, this is a question for the lowered guys, i just got my car lowered today, and the guy that did it said tokico's are prone to get blown if driven over big potholes, at first i thought well obviously, any kind of shock absorber might be blown if driven over a big enough pothole, but is there any truth to this that tokico's are more prone to blowing or did he not know what he was talking about, cause over here in downtown SJ on 280 and 880 there's a lot of potholes.

Trust me the Tokico's are good quality. . . I went through 280 when they just started construction. . . The struts are still good. . . all those times I went to Oakland and back on 880 my struts are still fine

jon, I think your friend is either very biased or had an isolated insident. The Tokicos are very good quality. They have a very good reputation. When TRD could not supply the Bilstein struts, the recommended Tokicos over any of the competition. -JoeB

When my Bilstein's failed after 1 1/2 years of light operation TRD provided me new Tokicos free, and stated they were the best on the market. I've had them for 3 1/2's years now without any problems.
