Solara Headers Completed

Postby Guest » Tue Dec 17, 2002 10:00 pm

I finished my header/exhaust project. It turned out great, gains of 30hp and 30tq to the tires. The before and after runs were done on the same dyno with no other changes and the a/f at 12.5-1 boosting 5.5psi. The headers/exhaust are made out of stainless with ceramic coating. I had origanly tried a 3" catback but that was to big and I lost lowend power. We switched to a 2 1/2" catback and gains were seen top and bottom. The headers/y-pipe would work with a aftermarket catback if it was shortened a couple of inches, we just couldn't fit the high-flow cat and flex pipe in the space of the factory exhaust. Considering the SC gave 50hp to the tires I am very pleased with 30fwhp from exhaust. I am going to scan the dyno charts in the next couple of days and post them. I do have some photos of the header build. If you would like a set the price will be $1600 for the stainless headers with a 2 stage ceramic coating inside and out with the matching stainless y-pipe with a high flow cat and flex pipe (also ceramic coated).

What company are you with? That sounds awesome. Is it $1600 for just the headers? Also what y-pipe and cat did you use.

So The Headers and y-pipe with the high flow cat and flexpipe will fit with the Greddy EVo?
How much more whp will you get with 6psi pulley?

Jp Performance. $1600 gets you the headers, y-pipe, cat and flex all made out of stainless and ceramic coated. The cat would be a Carsound.

The greddy will have to be shortened a couple of inches. I think the Greddy is 2 1/4 or 2 3/8 so the hp would be simular to what I got with the 2 1/2.

Guys,

I'm just a fellow Solara owner who found someone who was willing to build us some headers. If you are serious and want a set e-mail me and we will work out the details. All the Jigs are there so they can be reproduced, Jp Performance needs a deposit and then your set will start to be built.

I'm in! $1600 is a steal for that kind of set up. Will the TRD bolt up muffler work with the cat back? It's the same as stock. :o ~

Can you verify your hp numbers with a dyno chart. I'd be very impressed if a 6 cylinder could gain 30 hp from headers. Either way they look awesome.
