2 questions. Does it use OEM cat? and is it street legal?

its doesn't come with cat this time....so u have get a high flow cat or u can used ur stock 1 too.....not sure if its street legal....

pretty sure it is not CARB legal because it is missing a cat...but it unlesh you some hp

I'm in, would this do anything for a N/A Solara if I'm not planning to supercharge anytime soon ? ?

.......somebody got a website or some links for some high flow cats ? ?

It usually comes with a High flow cat to replace the OEM cat, so the center pipe might be measured to hook up to OEM cat. Its not CARB legal because I dont think they got it tested, but only you Cali guys have to worry about that. I know you need the sticker out in Cali, I have no idea about other states - Sound and emissions are probably whats measured to pass or not, and I don't know about that part.

And also, I read up a little, downpipe is one with the center section - its only two pipes.

Im not sure if the centerpipe to cat part is straight bolt on. WIth the high flow it normally comes with, it needs to be welded because it doesnt have the flanges, but not sure how it would mate to OEM cat, if it does mate that way. Its hard to picture since I cant find any pictures of what the high flow cat looks like.

they run out the high flow cat....thats y it didnt come with header this time.....and i think they going to stop make header for 5sfe....so this will last 20 set......

Yep. I have it, and like it, even without the supercharger. There are Magnaflow HF cats on eBay for a fair price.

Tad: Without the highflow cat, do you think it will it bolt onto the OEM Cat?

Its 100 bucks less, but you lose the high flow cat, so its a tossup of whether this a deal that I'd jump on.

Only reason I'm getting it is b/c its definately better then stock and there aren't that many if there are any companies that make headers for the 5SFE.

I stopped by the dealership today and got advice from a few of my boys that work there. They all said to get it and just go with the Magnaflow HF cat since its the only thing imma need or opt. to use the stock cat if I can't get a Magnaflow just yet.

I say just go with the straight pipe because it's illegal already mind as well go all the way. . . When you need to smog thats when you put on the stock headers so you won't fail the visual test

Technically you could weld the factory cat in, but I think it would be a mistake. The piping coming off the header is 2.5, whilst the factory is smaller (2.25 or 2 not sure).
