If i have a guy doing custom piping from the headers back, do I necessarily need a high flow cat designed for the solara? or can i get one designed for just a v6 application?

thanks

I think that any cat that fits in the space provided will work. I guess the unknown is will you still get a CEL from the downstream O2 sensor. Post pics if you can, I am interested in the result. I may do something similar when mine rusts out. Make sure he gets the flex joint in the y-pipe close to where the stock flex joint is. I have a few issues with my exhaust set up being too rigid.

i will def. post pics. i gotta take it to him first and see what he recommends. I am eventually going to get the megan headers when and if they come out. so ideally, ill have the headers to y pipe, to high flow cat, to borla muffler, to nice tip. ...at least thats how its workin in my head.
