btw yanks.. how much did u get ur trd wheels for? Do u know any1 that wants to get rid of them?

My wheels came as part of my stage 1 TRD package (body kit and rims and tires)for $2700 but that is no longer available. There was a guy on here before with the same wheels brand new selling them for $500. Check the for sale section, don't know if they sold

ANYONE!??
i don't really want to go for the "all show no go" look so i really need some help !

Injen doesn't make a CAI for our car. Cattman is currently testing one but thats for the 6cyl. Exhaust will help a little bit, but all results are going to be less than expected because you have a 4 and not a v6

Just do it right and nothing ricey. BTW all show no good isn't such a bad thing, i was like that for 6 months or so and not many people even noticed.

that wut i was thinking when he said cai injen intake. it would be nice if they did have an cai for the 02-03 solara :P

If you really insist on an upgraded engine then sell your car, buy a v6 5spd and get a s/c with headers and all those goodies. Engine swaps from different manufacturers make it very hard and most good engines are RWD

The IS300 is RWD
So is the GS300
ES300 uses a very similar v6 3.0 as the solara

Engine swaps also mean a lot of time without your car :(

The new accord engine is of course a honda and you'll run into a lot of trouble getting your car to accept all those changes. You'd need all new electronics and everything, its definately not worth it. The ES300 is esentially the same engine as the camry or solara with a few minor changes. Again that wouldn't be worth it because you already have that engine in there. Out of all the FWD toyota engines out there the 1MZ-FE from the camry or solara is the most modifiable because it has the supercharger available.

yanks how much stronger is the es300 engine compared to the v6 solara w/ VVTI?

is it going to be cheaper than buying a solara engine?
how much would u say that one of them run for? (ES300, solara)

They are esentially the same engine. Its not worth it. Engine drops ARE NOT worth it, sell the car and buy a v6

MY CAR HAS HIT 1000 miles!

So its past the whole "i must keep the car under 4 rpm's" period?
btw because of a weakness inside of me (and probrably all other solara drivers), i hit 110 mph on the way to Vegas from LA and started hearing some wierd noises so i decided to stop hurting the poor thing

anyways hoped u guys had a good winter vacation and remember

DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE..
you might spill your drink :drinking:

the solara doesn't have VVT-i (well, not the V6 anyways)
the ES has about 10 more hp than the solara (or somewhere around there)
