Headlight Removal Help

Postby Fresco Bob » Tue Nov 08, 2005 12:39 pm

Im trying to remove my right headlight and am kinda stuck

(this is from my perspective standing in front of the car)
Ive removed the corner lamp, and two screws on the left side, and the three screws on the top right side, the headlight seems to move around freely enough, but i cant get the dam thing to come out.

Can anybody offer some advice on how to get the whole thing out

There's a clip that holds it in. If I remember correctly, it's located at the end of the headlight that's closest to the corner lamp. Just get a screwdriver in there and press on the clip.

I cant see or feel any clip. The entire house unit itself is loose, I can move it around quite a bit, but not enough to get the bottom lip part of the light over the bumper, if that makes sense

If your talking Gen1, Theres no clip on the headlights. Its 2 screws, two nuts.

You need to pull the grill off first...3 screws and 2 clips on that.

Then take off the corner. Then theres two nuts on side where the corner came off, and two screws, one under where the grill came off and one on top.

Then it should be loose. You need to pull them in out of the bolts where the nuts where, then tilt the housing so it faces up and angle it right to get it over the bumper cover.
