When i got my car in the early part of 99, i got it lowered a few months later. At that time, the only springs out were the TRD springs. The springs, are good, but they have settled a lot, of course no one had told me that it would settle this much. I want to put a box with two 12's in and i want to make sure that im not going to have problems with the suspension. I never got aftermarket shocks, because as im sure you all know it takes hours of labor to remove everything to get to the rear shock towers. so is it ok to add more weight to the bak of thge car? without upgrading to stiffer shocks?

The solara uses a strut/spring setup instead of shocks
The reason that they settled so my is because your stock struts are wearing out because of the lowering springs. You will need to upgrade them to an aftermarket strut if you want to keep it lowered. The shortened springs accelorate the fouling out of the stock struts
