Baking clear corners

Baking clear corners

Postby RichD978 » Thu Dec 08, 2005 6:21 am

Along with doing my own black housing headlights. I found a way to make really clean black clear corners.. However, I looked up the DIY clear corner method

but it just says to pry it open. I tried that the first time and cracked one of them. What temp can I put these in the oven and bake it...just to get the sealant to melt a little. Temp and amount of Time that is. Look forward to your answers. Thanks

You should try using a heat gun, I used it for my head lights instead of an oven, I thought it was safer, faster and easier to work with than an oven. Thats just my opinion, but good luck with your project.

I did the headlights at about 250, and since they are half the size of the headlights, id bake them at about 100. Also, I wouldnt pre-heat the oven

I know these are different than the ones that come with the black lights on ebay. But this may help you out and make your project less of a headache. Check these out and see if you can live with these.
