WHen do you lack fuel? Is this a sign?

Every since my car came out of the toyota repair shop and freshy GOOODDDDDDD again. I notice the car seems to be lacking power when I floor it. Back then when I had the check light (CEL) the car stayed in safemode. Now all repair and full mantience has been perform, the cars at its optimun power.

Now Ive read a few old post about fuel issues on boosted car and this and that. But how do you really know when your lacking fuel? Sure I can throw a fuel pressure gauge on the car. But it isnt a cheap investment.

Could this be a sign right here? When I floor my car and boost hits in, I notice the engine makes a weird sound. Of course the beast is awaken. But you can hear this VERY small faint sound. Its like the same sound you hear off civics with fart can exhaust.. That high tone when they try to floor their car and their exhaust makes that horrible fart sound.. Well this is like that but its veryyyy small and its not my exhaust. I cant pin point the exact source because you only hear it when your flooring the car and boost takes in. Is that a sign that my car needs more fuel? The car seems to pull fine.

Hahaha.. Its a wwWWWWEEEEE tatatatatatataatat EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE with tatatata in it

i read somewhere you can get vital information about the runnings of your engine by observing the old spark plugs. If you still have them try and look at them and find the article about it. I think it was from dsport magazine. I'll check if I still have it around.

if the spark plugs look like calcium color (white/green) it's a sign you are running lean. you can't really tell immediatley on fresh plugs though.

best thing is to get a dyno tune/run. or install an EGT.

oh shoot... I get/got that same exact sound.... before I blew out my knock sensors. Seems like power slowly goes away and before you know it, the knock sensors takes a dump.

Another noise I heard is a very high pitched whine like a constant spooled turbo even at idle. I was thinking its prolly the injectors. Strange because I never had it until I upgrade to Jims Fuel lines
