Tokico weaker then stock?

Tokico weaker then stock?

I dont get it. I know springs are design to let the car drop and struts are for handling right? Because since putting my tokico in I rub too much and just ripped my tires tonight. I thought my tein springs drops my car and tokico struts takes the beating? I never rubbed on my fenders on tein and stock struts....

Weird. I am mad because I have to pay 200 bucks for fender rolling now. ARRRRRR. Ill take pics of my car later. Im hurt.

Its got nothing to do with being "weaker", it has to do with travel. Your stock struts were running constantly compressed, so there was little additional travel downwards, but alot of extra travel upwards (also known as "bounce").

Your tocikos would be running where they are supposed to be with lowering springs, and therefore have good travel both up and down, giving you a balanced ride rather than a bouncy one. The travel down is what is causing you to rub.

Of course, wheels with the right offset wouldnt rub in the first place. +35 or less @ 8" wide will typically rub the fender wells with a lowered setup if the fenders arent shaved.

That kind of hurts. I had to drive 30 minutes not knowing that.

I'm surprised you are rubbing. I don't have any issues with my Tein/Tokico combo.
