is this possible? would the y-pipe for the v6 work on the 4 bamger?

Yes it is, you have no y pipe, it gets split catback.

muffler shop, tell them what you want, the only thing is that the left muffler is going to be a little off to the left, and for the right one to match it needs to be moved just a tad more to the right.
