thinking about getting these wheels
http://wheelsnext.com/default.cfm?actio ... olor=BLACK
in 19x9.5
not sure if they will fit. i tried the "will these wheels fit on my car" and it came up yes, but ive heard mixed reviews on if 19s will fit on a gen 1. any help would be useful. thanks.

Good luck trying to fit them.......... 19s do fit but not that wide, 8.5 I believe is the widest you could go.... before modding the fenders.

For a plug and play fit either go with a 7.5" with a 45 mm offset or an 8" with a 40mm offset. Jon.

You can do 8.5 if you roll the rear fenders. I did it myself with no problems.

Question

Postby JMSinMaryland » Tue Jun 20, 2006 3:59 pm

8.5 with what offset? I was thinking an 8.5 with a 35mm offset might prevent having to roll but I don't think that's a common size/offset. Jon.

Well - he DOES have a '99 Solara! :D

Actually - the wheels themselves look cool alright, but I think they might be a little too plain with your body style IMO. ;)

yeah, considering I don't have a TRD kit, and im not really good in picking out rims, i was actually wondering what most of you guys have in mind? budget being a slight issue, but not major. im looking at with tires n everything, set of 4, in between 1500 - up, but not past like 3gs or anything lol.
