Custom turbo which costs more money but would be your best option with built internals. Or you could go with nitrous. Guaranteed power, but you have to live with all the hype of blowing your motor, I don't recommend it if you're vvti for some reason I hear that doesn't mix, or at least it didn't for mike.

It works for me, with only a 50 shot SRT-4s are no problem, and from a roll I'm pretty sure I could take a 350z as well. then again I'm 5spd, you need the 100 shot to get that kind've power on the autos from what I'm told.

Be safe, be fast.

Along with pushing more air in, you need to get air out. I think one of the best "bang for the buck" modifications is headers. The best available for the Solara is JP Performance.

Well I have the 1MZ-FE (V6) and I'm not sure how well the 5SFE will handle nitrous, but my guess is probably not too well. Bolt ons on a relatively underpowere dmotor like that won't do too much but there are several intakes I'm sure that are made for your car, of which the best will net you mayb 5-8 hp at the wheels at absolute tops, but my guess would be more like 2-3.

the ripps modds supercharger using a vortech v5 g-trim would be your best bet, but I'm sure that's the supercharger you were already talking about.

I'm not sure if josephs car was custom trubo or if he bought akit from somewhere, but if you pm him (turbosolara) I'm sure he can help you with that. I always thoguht ripp mods made a turbo kit for that car and not a supercharger kit, and that's what he had, but I gues sI was wrong.

In either case that's the link to the ripp mods site.

Other than that you already have exhaust, a header would help you out as well, and as far as bolt on power with relatively low cost, that's about all there is in my book anyhow. You may want to look into some MR2 sites as they used that engine for the NA versions here, not the turbo versions however from what I remember. But that may be the inspiration joe used for his turbo setup.

Either way, if you're looking to go turbo, I'd PM him, it's either that, the supercharger from ripp mods (which seems to be a good bet as well) or a small shot of nitrous I'm thinking 35-50 tops? But I don't know how the 5sfe handles it, so if you blow your crap up, I didn't tell you to do it.

Also, I foudn this, you may want to ask these guys what they can do for you.... http://www.kingstonduo.com/turbo/

And that's all I got.

the ripp supercharger is your best choice, NOS is not safe because it is too violent and you cannot get a good tuning out of it.
