Need to know where to get strut mounts for all four. Need everything that you would need regularly to replace all of the struts w/ mounts.

from your other threads I see, I believe ur planning to drop your suspension soon? if so, do the mounts, springs, struts all at once... then go for an alignment about 1-2 wks later

but as far as the mounts, mine went bad as i only noticed the sound as I turned the steering wheel at low speeds, i.e. turning into the drive way w/ a slight incline.

It sounds like your mounts need replacing. I get the same noise from my front left strut but i am planning on putting a completely new suspension this weekend w/ complete new strut mounting kits. I plan on getting them for Toyota, i gotta give them a call tomorrow to get it priced. Monroe mounts are also available here:

I found strut mounts at the above site cheaper than overnightautoparts, along with struts and boots - all for $515.64. Anyone know of better prices?

search for one of my posts about cheap strut mounts...I had the site and all that posted a long time ago.

By the way, AJusa is horrible for customer service...I ordered mounts and boots for the fronts and they shipped me the wrong boots...wouldnt refund me the money either. Their reps were a-holes, so if I recommended them in the old post, go elsewhere.

I had to replace my struts and mounts a few months ago, all 4.
Best done all at one, because the rear ones are a biatch!

sorry for a dumb question, but why do you need to replace the mounts, and how do you know when its due?

When they start warping, or wearing out, and making a clanking noise. Heard from my toyota mechanic friend that it's really common for them to replace them. They're not cheap considering they're just a disk of metal.

Its for those who are having a clunking problem on non-smooth sirfaces (like gravel roads, etc - its more noticable, than on smooth roads). I'm on my 4th set of strut asdsembles (including strut-mounts) on my gen4 camry..all thanks to extended warranty. This problem is not so evident on solara's as much as gen4' camrys.
