Anyone Lowered the front but not the back?

Postby SC V6 » Mon Jul 24, 2006 10:27 am

I'm looking for anyone who has replaced the front suspension (struts and springs) to a lowering spring but not the back. My rear end already sags due to my system. Can I do this? Cons?
Parting out my car!!! great upgrades for sale!

Yes

You can do it but a)because of the difference in springs/struts and b)because of your heavy ass system it will only make a visual difference and not a performance difference.

seems like it would put more stress on your rear suspension..... could be wrong.....

Dont do it, go all around, leave that for the old days, but then again they jacked the rear ends up. Either way same idea. You have to buy four springs anyway to just get the front.

Chrystie dropped just the front a few weeks ago.
and well...I havent heard from her since. :-?

Hmmmm...maybe you should drop the rear too.

Honestly, the spring rates being so different in the front and rear cant be a good thing.

you can do it if you really want and it wont cause a problem really. I've had just fronts in before for months.

from the things Ive been hearing about the tein springs, quite a few ppl (not all) have been grabbin a batch that has the rears that are abnormally high and not as dropped.... if this happens to you, it may be a good compensation for ur heavy system. Maybe hit up sumone who is unhappy with their high-riding-rear-teins and they could go for something else??

but overall, id advise to do the full front AND rears

I'd say do drop the front and back. it seems more reasonable and better for your ride.

Are you talking about the S-Techs? Or is there another kind for people who have stereos that want it higher?
