I know i need new brake pads, but what are the symptons of needing new rotors? i just hope i dont need new rotors because i don't have much money...

my steering wheel would shake when i'd apply the brake (didnt mean to rhyme). i think thats the most obvious symptom that you need new rotors.

i only know that if you did not replace the pad in time, it will damage the rotor, then you will need to replace it.

:) The way to check the rotor if they need replacement is through thickness of the material left on the grinding surface. Symptom number two is a badly warped surface. If the surface is slightly wavy, then you could probably turn them to get the rotor surface smooth again. Now if the groves are 3/32"-1/4" deep, then you need to replace them (mostly because there is not enough material left) :roll: Usually the life of the rotor is one-two turns (resurfacing) before its gutted.

If you do end up replacing them, then the Brembos OEM replacements are the ones to go with. They were less prone to warp. Just from experience. I drive beyond spirited. :lol: :lol:
