I just bought a brand spankin new '03 silver solara SLE. The only thing that I dont like about it is the wood grain trim. What id like to do is replace that trim with a brushed aluminum trim, I know that they have them for the '02 s and such. Does anyone know where I can buy one?

They did?! I like brushed aluminum trims but I didnt know the 02s had that option. IMO, the wood grain trim fits the Solara interior :) But yeah, it gets old in a year or so.

AYE. Now heres what i found from another thread bro. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... gory=33705 hope that helps ya out. I was reading in yet ANOTHER thread that there is virtually no difference between the '02 and the '03. Im going to call my toyota dealer and see if there were any dash modifications between these years and if the answer is no Im going to go ahead and order this kit. Im also in the process of trying to contact the seller. I will post my reply when I find the answer if anyone else is interested.

I know its available..but not for the '03=( Such a disappointment. I have contacted a gentleman who produces them for the '02s and lower. Our conversation goes as so.

RickyBoxler:
I am EXTREMELY interested in your product..the only problem that I face
myself with is that your product only goes up to year '02. I have a 2003
silver solara SLE and I would like to take the woodgrain out and replace
it with the brushed silver dash kit. Please tell me if you guys have one
available, if not when..or if anything where else I can purchase one=)
Thank you much

DashKit Guy:
Hi, yes we do have a kit for the 2003 but it is a factory match kit. We
don't have any pieces that replace your existing factory wood. We can
sell you a brushed alunimum, but it will not cover the factory wood.
Thanks

I have responded to him one more time asking when a good oen will be available..i am stil waiting for the response.

Could SOMEONE please tell me what the hell is going on..i dont understand this guys replies

RickyBoxler:
AYE..i understand now. I actually know quite a few people who are
interested as I am..im just the most vocal about it and im finding out for them. Any word when they will have a brushed aluminum kit for the '03 that would actually fit and look nice like the kits for the '02 and older models.

Dashkit guy:
Hi, it is available, but these are flat pieces, not molded like your original dash, therefore it will never cover your existing factory
wood. Thanks.

I want my aluminum dash damn it.

What he is saying is that the kits do not replace the factory trim or cover it completely. They are a flat stick on "cover". The outer edges of the underlying trim are still visible. Have a look, it might clear things up.
