I hear that a stock flywheel weighs about 18-25 lbs and the lightweight one weighs 10 lbs and i should gain 25-35 hp and i have an 01 2.2 solara. and is an underdrive pully realy worth the money?

its worth the money, or have the mechanic grind it down(flywheel) because they can lighten it as well. Its not "real" horspower exactly because its power your car already has being freed up. Your car will rev fast but overall it doesnt seem to add power in the same way other mods do. I say its worth it because the benefits outweigh losses and if your going to continue modding it should help in the future.

Underdrive pulleys vary with the vehicle but its the same idea as the flywheel. You should be able to find a good underdrive for your vehicle for a decent price to make it worth it.

Stock flywheel is probably around 20 lbs, give or take and lightweights for our platform are probably around 13 lbs, guesses. Too light of a flywheel starts to really effect street driveability.

I'm glad I got mine, I could tell it was there by the seat of my pants, however, I was already S/C'ed, so the mods sort of work off each other. Best advice is to go ahead and buck up for a lightweight flywheel if/when you are replacing the clutch.

Yeah, what he said; that kind of clutch acts like an on/off switch and you'd almost have to gun it almost every single time unless you carefully starve the throttle.
