so yeah i wasnt exactly wondering about the launch but here it goes...

since i have an auto tranny it seem like i dont really have that good of acceleration, so i was wondering what kinds of ways there are to increase the acceleration from the launch

hm
because of the launch i do think we lose quite a bit of ground
usually i launch on L with OD off, and as i near top of 1st i switch OD on and it shifts into a nice torque band in 2nd where i pass up the other person, usually in a 4 banger honda.

But maybe im doin it all wrong :P

Man I am glad I don't have to think about this auto trans stuff. My only real advice is never rev in neutral and drop it in first thias would be bad.

yeah i guess power braking is the only way...

This might be a stupid question but what kind of aftermarket stuff could i buy to increase torque? Something on the cheaper side?

Yeah, power-braking at a low RPM works, but whatever you do, DO NOT rev it too high, or what some dummies do and "dump" it as soon as redline is reached; you'll kill your transmission instantly (saw some dumbass do that in a car meet held in my plaza... Can't help but point and laugh).

Stock wise you can get the SuperPro poly dogbone bushin' and if you can find it Jim's Torque Rod.
The SuperPro poly dogbone bushin' will help some what wit better acceleration.
As for torque you can do the ACIS mod, and get a T/B spacer.
But some people that have done the ACIS mod usually cahnge it back though.

To find the ACIS mod you can look under the Tutorial Section.

Or you could use NOS like "DatSRBoi" said.

don't bother with powerbraking, thats not good for your car's transmission either.

Just floor it when the light hits green.

^ no, power braking does help on acceleration

but yes, it also heats up your tranny a good bit as well...not a problem though if you have a tranny cooler and a tranny temp gauge to keep an eye on your temp

I actually doing power braking at times to warm up my tranny on cold days.....but then it's hard on the brakes- lol

as high as you can....it will only let you go so high anyway, so there's no worries about going beyond what is "safe" for your tranny
