whats up all..
just install a set of hid's in my 2001 solara
now my foglights isn't working! checked the switch its on.
checked the fuse an it still looks good
any sugestions

did you mess with the DRL harness in the center console at all? Do you have the factory 9006 type bulbs or did you do the conversion to 9005?

i dont beleive my car has DRL.
it had 9003 in the headlights an not to sure whats in the foglights
the fogs use to work before i installed the hids

i read somewhere that you had to use bigger amp fuses if you install hid's
should i try that?

mite be grounding out? what the ballast?

yeap the ballast cannot touch sheetmetal it will cause a short I had this problem before ....DRl is a grey plug on under the hood passenger side ... I had this problem before ....but not on the fogs ...

so i just gotta make sure the ballast dont touch any metal on the car?

i got these hid's off a 05 mercedes

i cant find the plug that your are talking bout, any pictures

are you sure this would be a cause as to why his FOG lights won't work? as far as i remember if the ballast from the HID is touching metal, it will cause the HID's to turn on intermittently...not disable the foglights.

anyway, if you're still looking for the "gray connector" in the engine bay, it's here:

well i tried lookin for that grey plug but cant manage to find it..

tried to move the ballast from touchin metal but same affect.

looks like ill have to do the independent fog light trick, is it really dat easy?
