i was wondering if i should replace the resonator...?

anyone know how long the stock one is and if i would benefit from replacing with an uh..aftermarket one?

also if i were to replace it how much would it run me?

That my friend is a question you need to ask yourself. Do you want to or not?

Resonator just makes the exhaust sound quiet. If you want loud remove it and if you dont then keep it. Theres only one stock one on our car and its 12 inch long last time I seen it. Just replace it with a straight pipe and itll be more rummble.

if i were you, i will just get a custom 2.5" piping and a resonator (i had a cherrybomb glasspack style resonator) and it will sounds good with all kind of mufflers. That will cost you about 250-300 i think.

I use an 18 inch glasspack on my custom 2.5in catback to help keep things quiet with my TRD muffler

Noobish questions, but we will answer them honestly.

Replacing resonator with straight pipe will not result in any gain in power.

Get the y-pipe for some power and sound, but keep the stocker in case you want to put it back on, sell, or pass emissions.

resonator just to quiet the noise down, so the longer the resonator the more effect i think

Different lengths make it quieter for cruising in my experience 18 in provides good long term noise for highway trips and such. Once I get to 70+ on the expressway I can barely hear it.
