OK I got them 700 shipped brand new factory takeoffs with MICHELIN ENERGY MXV4 PLUS P215/60R16 94V M&S TIRES (sorry for the caps cut and paste from the auction.)
I hope I wil not need spacers they are 16X6.5 and the factory 17's are 17X7.

They look like this and No I do not want to go bigger I like my 16's the ride quality is nice but my OEM 16's are showing their age.

with 17x7 we needed spacers to push them out more. so wouldn't 6.5 require a larger spacer?

thinking about it 6.5 should be better than 7 because the distance from the mounting point to the inner edge of the rim should be less than the 17x7 and would be less likely to rub.

width doesn't matter too much without knowing the offset of the wheels...

Well they do fit but you need 5mm spacers. They look great I will get pics later when the car is clean.
