Celica GT-S Rims

Celica GT-S Rims

Postby robi-wan » Wed Apr 16, 2003 7:17 pm

I have a friend who owns a Celica GT-S and I thought the factory stock rims on it looked pretty nice, and i was wondering if something like that could be used on a '99 Solara. The [Solara's] rims came kinda offcolor on it...i can't really describe and I would take a pciture if i could. But anyway, I plan on replacing them, and myself not knowing too much on the topic at hand, saw the Celica's and liked it. Basically I would like a 'sporty' look i suppose....but not really overdoing it, this vechicle will be used to drive to work and meetings and i don't want to get the wrong impression, plus some rims just look out of place...

Thanks in advance :)

Nope. The Solara uses a 5x114.3 mm bolt pattern compared to 5x100 mm. You can ditch that idea...sorry.

Ah darn, well there are many other choices available. I've looked at various other members cars and I like the style of Yanks0114's rims ('cept I can't make out what is going on in the center of them), I'll have to look more into them and others of the same style. I'm thinking that style and painting my brake calipers red on a black Solara, think that would look okay? I'm trying to imagine it and it doesn't seem mismatched, i just don't think i've seen it before,

The center of the wheel has nothing to do with fitment. Ross has the TRD/TSW Revos...which have a center cover which covers up the lugnuts. Some wheels have these caps...some don't.

Yeah, I wasn't refering to the fitment as much as the aesthetic look. But it seems fine to me. I was just thinking out loud.

I can take some more pics of the rims if you'd like. The center cap just says TRD in red, but you can also get them to say TSW. TSW is the company that actually manufacturers the rims. They are called the Revo

Well the center cap on the revo's wheels which hide the lugnuts can also be removed. So in essence, if you like the look of the lugnuts exposed...it will look like Tweazy's car like this:
