By pass valve?

Okay so i know this is getting repeatitive, mods can even delete this thread if they feel the need to but i just have to ask.

I have the CAI extension attached to my Injen intake, "UPFD" extension.

Its great, i love the sound and wat not and i do feel somewhat of a stronger pull than the injen SRI alone.

But ive been learning alot about hydrolock from people, most of the people on SG say that its fine, i have to drive thru a puddle to get hydrolock.

Ive been reading on ALOT of other car forums, i searched on google for "Cold air Intake + Hydrolock" or just "Hydrolock" and ive been thrown around in all kinds of forums.

So i came across the Bypass valve that u put on the intake that is more like insurance against hydrolock, i was contemplating on ditching the whole CAI or even the SRI intake and go back to the Stock Intake setup for my Supercharger.

I have no idea wat to do, so im asking you guys for ur best input, who has a TRD supercharger running with the Stock intake setup if anyone? who is running the SRI and who has the CAI and gets alot of rainy weather...I live in NJ and we get a good share of rain here.

Anyway, thanx for reading my bullshit, any help is appreciated.

I think if you read closely it states the valve is not to be used for SC cars.

When I had no CPE I had a CAI when I installed a non AEM bypass valve it messed with the MAF sensor. so I took it out. I ran like that for a long time. Never had a problem as long as I did a couple things right. One kept the filter high up. This is no problem sense the extension does not go down far. Two make sure the wheel well cover was attached tight. This will keep most of the water out. And three be careful around puddles. This is not so bad because the intake is on the left hand side away from gutters that collect water.
