TWM Short Shifter Speed Clip Help

Postby CamryOnBronze » Thu May 31, 2007 3:39 pm

Okay, so I am installing my short shifter tonight and I got everything in and done fine, only one problem- the speed clip TWM gave me doesnt fit on the large pin that runs through the shift assembly. Is there a special trick to installing it that would make the inside diameter seem too large when you put it on?

The inside Diameter of the clip is larger than the pin, so it doesnt come close to staying on, let alone needing to be hammered on. Did anyone else have this problem? Will I be okay without the pin for a day? Let me know, thanks guys!

I searched by the way, didnt find anyone with this situation.

I got mine used and I couldnt get the original back on, so Ive been driving without it for a couple months now, someone else said they didnt put one back on either. Its definitly fine to drive without it for a while.

If your that sketched about it, just drive without the armrest section so you can tell if its about to come loose
