Does anyone know where to get an a pillar that has a 2 gauge pod for the ivory interior? If not whats the easiest way to get the color to match.

Also I'm thinking of getting the Tundra boost gauge that goes up to 10PSI. Any experiences with this?

The other gauge I am going to get is an A/F gauge, Any Reccomendations

if worse comes worse, you can always spray paint the pod to match your pillar's color. some have even molded the pillar and pod to become one.

I have never seen one in Ivory color.
They have black and grey. :(

You probably gotta paint the pillar to match the interior.

If you find the ivory one, let me know.
I am interested in one too!

Not on forced induction cars. We all know that you can run dangerously lean with the SC, especially if you change the pulley so I'd like to keep an eye on it

I have the tundra boost gauge. i will sell it to you if you're interested. email me at noozie3@yahoo.com

this won't help my sale, but the reason I don't like it, is that it goes to only 20 mm Hg vacuum. so the needle hits the stop in idle. from what i've heard, your engine goes to around 22-25 sometimes. not a big deal for most people, but i bought the gauge for looks, so i don't like that the needle hits the stops. then it looks like it's not working or something.

as for the color of the pod, i plan to just paint mine a color that is close to the existing pillar color. and to get an exact match with the pillar, i plan to paint the whole pillar. the car is multi-color (though subtle) anyway.

btw, just mailed out my check for my struts from fast track on monday. thanks for the hook up.

I've decided I am going to go with autometer gauges and an autometer pod.

Still deciding what finish I want to get

They are all relatively the same price. Also, does anyone know if I get can a whole replacement A-Pillar or am i going to have to get one of these gauge pod overlays Image

You can only get an overlay. Unless you do like Luc and Mao where they custom molded it into their factory A pillar.

yanks, just fyi. i just got my autometer sport-comp gauges in. the trd boost gauge IS a much nicer gauge, so i guess you get what you pay for. if you have changed out your other gauges (speedo, tach, etc.), you have more selection with autometer to match the looks. but if you still have the stock gauges, the trd matches it nicely (both in the day, and at night). i haven't installed my autometer's yet, but i'm guessing it'll match nicely in the daytime, but not quite so nice at night when everything is lit up differently.

Yanks, great question. I've been watching closely. I am interested in the same setup. Just like you, I have the ivory interior and would prefer to have it match rather than have to paint it. My experience with interior paints is it is very difficult to get the colors to match exactly.

If you find a good source for the setup you mentioned let me know. By the way, I like the carbon fiber gages. -Joe

Grrr the shop i went to today had nothing to match the ivory interior. Also the fit on the autometer pod is alright but nothing spectacular. Any ideas on a way to mold it in?

obviously, if you want to get it done bad enough then you can talk to a custom plastic molding business or custom shop...I know a few people and will see what I can come up with as well...since I have the ivory interior. Although, the gauges are usless with my 4-banger. less than 2 yrs to paid off and then it's off to get the Audi S4 biturbo sedan...a total sleeper.

Hello everyone,
Well i have the setup that you are talking about, i have the trd boost gauge and autometer A/F ratio gauge along with the autometer dual gauge pod, which i molded and color matched to my stock a-pillar. When i first started to install the pod, i noticed that it didn't match up as well as i may have liked, but i found that just cutting off some of the plastic with a swiss army knife made it fit a lot better. The supplies that i needed to attatch the pod to the a-pillar were: JB Weld, body filler, sandpaper and spraypaint. Although i had never done anything like this ever before, i found that it was rather easy, but it was a little time consuming. If you try it i suggest using a little filler at a time and then sanding down, and then filler and sand until you are happy with it.

A little info about the gauges, the trd boost gauge is really good quality, i like it because it only goes to 10psi as opposed to the 20 or 30 that most other gauges go to, and as far as the A/F ratio gauge, i find that it really doesn't help much, i think it is mostly just for looks, i think i might either replace it with an EGT or oil pressure gauge or just add another pod to the a pillar,(the gauge pod that came with the trd boost gauge, with a little help of a heat gun seems like it would fit pretty good onto the a pillar, future project).
