sorry if this is the wrong section

on my front passengers side wheel, there is a section on the polished lip part where its bent out a little. i was going down a major highway 2 days ago and they were doing construction and there was a big ass bump in the road and i think its what caused it.. anyway it doesnt have any scratches or anything its just bent. i called discount tire and they said that he guesstimated it would be around 150 dollars but would ofcourse have to take a look at it. anyone else have any similar problem? if so how much did it cost? also, does anyone know a good place around austin texas that could do the job relatively cheap?

sorry so long and so many questions but thanks for the help in advance

Yeah they should be able to fix it, as long as it's the lip or somethin' it can be fixed.
I heard that if it's the spokes involved the rim is screwed or if it's warped to a certain extent the rims is also screwed.
I've had 4 of my Revo's repaired and painted new and i still have to get 3 repaired again. :(

Make sure the dent is small enough to repair. Sometimes the rim can crack if bent too far, and the tire won't be able to hold pressure. This happened to me with my old set of rims. I ended up having to pay for a new rim in the long run, so that may be the easiest way to go.

^ If the spoke is damaged the entire wheel should be replaced only the outer lips should be repaired if damaged.

In your case I would just buy a new wheel since its cheap and keep the bent one as a spare.
