okay, call me an idiot. there are alot of new posts regarding upgraded pulleys and what not, i know i know. but i wanted to make a new post for those who are actually going to do the upgrade. people....like me.

what precautions should one take in upgrading the pulley in order for it to work efficiently? i'm assuming:

i. upgrading injectors
ii. changing out the fuel pump
iii. SAFC I/II

that enough?

I am using 2.75" w/o any stuff u mentioned above and so far so good.

But S-AFC should help a bit to maximize the 2.75" pulley + added protection against running lean.

I would not think fuel pump and injectors are needed but it does not hurt.

Don't forget to check the belt tension after making the swap. It would suck to throw your belt because in was too loose from the use of a smaller pulley.

The injectors and fuel pump would be good insurance, but I'm not sure that they're necessary. I'm sure you already know this, but make sure to use the highest octane gas that you can get. For those of us in California, the 91 octane gas that masquerades as "premium" is causing a lot of blown knock sensors.

actually, i have the belt tensioner with my s/c kit. it's spring loaded, so i'm pretty sure i won't have to get a smaller belt or check the tension. (i hope)
