Hey Guys,
I hate to beat a dead horse to death but I want to buy new rims for my silver solara 2000. I had a trd kit installed with their rims but I have had couple or bent rims due to potholes etc. Anyone with an idea about stronger rims as I dont want to be buying rims every couple or years. Any recommendations also about good looking rims? The tsw didnt last too long so I dont want to buy them again although I must admit that they looked good.
Thanks

It's kind of hard to tell what rims wont bend. Generally speaking, more expensive rims use better manufacturing methods (pressure casting, forged, etc.), which are less likely to bend. Even cheaper rims shouldn't bend as long as you have a decent sized sidewall on the tire. I have Alessio chrome wheels (which I'm pretty sure were made with cheap gravity-casting) with a 235/40/18 tire, and I have yet to bend them. I've driven over some nasty roads too, such as a 3-5" step in the road at 45mph, and various other potholes, etc. Granted, California roads aren't as bad as some other states. Anyway, if you get 18's, I recommend at least a 235/40 tire to help avoid bending. 8)

if you liked the look of the TSW wheels, check out the SSR Competitions. good looking, very light, very strong. and on a silver car, the anthracite color looks awesome. that's what i ride on.....but i'm still workin on gettin picts up for y'all.

anyway it is costing $204 to buy a new stock rim online. and i found these gold rims i like but i dont know if they are well known they are cheap. "ROTA" any one know about these rims??? are they anygood??
