wiring amp

today i bought an amp and sub+enclosure (sealed) well I have it wired up and it is working fine but I'm not sure if it will last long: I have the input of the amp running from the rear6x9s (basically the amp is pulling sound from the 6x9 wires}. I've heard my amp wont work this way but it works and sounds great. Anyone ever done this?
(the amp is a TIS amp)
TIA guys

if you are just running off he rear 6x9s and have a jbl system its running of of both the jbl amp and your amp. Did you splice the output to the 6x9s and your sub or did you just take the 6x9 out of the equation?
