The guy who owns that car seems like a jerk. I don't like the smoked tails on silver, only with black might it even be acceptable. The body kit looks like a Honda, meaning it should stay on the Honda and not on the Solara.

Does anyone know about the law of smoked tail lights?

I'd love to smoked mine.

Thanks

I've found this company doing the wonderful job on smoked tail lights. Check it out, guys. It's much better than the Alterza lights. I might ship mine to them soon.

Smoked lights are listed as "FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY" aka... show car. You can be cited with a "fix it" ticket... where you have to take it off, get your car inspected and then pay the fine (at least in California).

It really depends on how dark the 'smoked' part is and also depends on how anal the cops in your area are.
