Steering Wheel Replacement?

WHATS UP Fellow Proud Toyota Owners.

I am posting this ?'s and wanting opinions on what I am about to do in a few days.

I bought a steering wheel (MOMO Millinieum) and a MOMO e-brake.

After debating 27,000 miles, what to do to my interior, I have decided I want to change my Steering wheel. Nothing wrong with mine, actually its still very nice. Black Leather with the preforation. I have an sle v6 with black leather.

I am waiting on the adaptor to come in, and then install it. I am having the guy at the shop do it, I am not that technically inclined.

If anyone has any opinions please tell me, I tried to search on the topic, but no luck. Please be hoenst. Since this is giving up my airbag and "unhooking" something Important. Please give me any advice, and tips I may need to tell the installer.

Thanks to everyone who responds. I will try to post pictures if I ever get a freakin day of sunshine down here in NC.

I think if you like it... go for it! BUT keep in mind that your new steering wheel would not have an airbag, airbags are very important and after my wreck last week I cherish them even more.
If you consider yourself a "safe driver" go for it, but be careful. Also, no cruise control (unless it comes with the new one) for those long trips you make.
I know, you already bought the new steering wheel, but maybe a steering wheel cover will look just as good and it will keep your airbag...that's just my opinion.

Airbags save lives..... :turn-l:

If you get rid of your air bag, you're supposed to report it to your insurance company. Your rates could possibly go up. If you do get into an accident and your insurance company finds out that you didn't have air bags, they'll probably drop you. This is what I was told concerning side impact air bags that are built into a seat that no longer function when the seat is replaced with like a sport seat, but I'm sure that it applies to steering wheels as well and all air bags in general.
