ADVICE - Painting Stock Wheels
I've decided I want to try to paint my 16" stockers (winter wheels) black. I don't think the previous owner ever really cleaned them, they have 4 years of tar build up and corrosion. I don't need them to be perfect, I'd like to keep the cost down and do the work myself.
My plan was to remove the old tire, clean them up the best I can and spray paint them a semi-gloss black.
One of my concerns is the spray paint won't stick or it'll flake off around the rim when new tires are mounted.
Has anybody tried this?
