if you're pushing that much power your alternator should be fine, but im assuming that your pushing subs with that much power. if you do that on your stock batery eventually it's gonna die from frequent discharging or going down in voltage, my stock battery died even after a few months of running my subs and with two capacitatotrs keeping the battery charged. swtich it too an optima blue top or yellow top, but be careful because the posts on those batteries are reversed, so you're gonna need to run new wires....if you don't want to do that get an interstate megatron plus, the cold start battery....that one is running my audio stuff fine...

I use a SVR gell cell battery that I got from audio sports in folsom. I ran about 1000 watts on my stock battery on my last car a 96 avalon and the batter started to grow so much corrosion that I had to replace the wiring and the guys at auido sports took pictures of my battery and put them on the wall to show people why acid batteries suck. Go with a gell cell I recomend the SVR. The best part is you can run it dead recharge it and its as good as new.

the blue top optima..i think group 34..size will fit in the stock slot but it will be a bit smaller....but the terminals for the battery on on the bottom of the battery so your stock terminals will not reach it....unless you modify the terminals...i don't know how hard that is to do...i tried, and it didn't work so i got an interstate cold weather battery instead.,...

costco sells the optima blue top for pretty cheap....i'll try and take some pictures of the posts....if you look at the stock battery the posts for positive and negative are on top of the battery....the optimas posts are on the bottom of the battery....so..they are in effect reveresed....so.....but yea installing it should be easy.....plus the blue top has extra posts....to hook up extra things...(aduio cables...etc...)
