I saw the e90post.com post a while back, about the guy who vinyl wrapped his BMW matte back and I decided I want to try it. I was looking for a new project anyways. After a week, this is what I got so far. I'm hoping to finish this weekend... I'm running out of patience :x ...I need to redo the trunk. Has anyone else tried to wrap there whole car yet?

Thanks Guys, this is defiantly taking more time then I ever though. This is my first time doing any kind of vinyl wrap but I'm starting to get the hang of it. My training consists of You Tube videos and online forums  I bought a 25 yard role ($600) of the stuff and it should be enough... if I don't mess up anymore. I'll post more pix when I'm done.

need more pics!!!! lol
this is a lot of work but in the end it is worth it
i think the whole car will require 17 yards...but that was my estimate when i was planning this

what stopped me? the winter weather...i wasnt sure if it would hold up well during the winter

unless you have a good size mil...as in 2 or greater. anything less will look really nice as well but whether it will hold during different seasons is what i am not sure of

Are you doing this by your self or is someone helping you? In other words is this a one man job?

I'd say it's 95% just me. I had a friend stop by to help me with the hood. After a few hours of that he quite. My wife help me peel off the backing a few times. So it's mostly a one man job..... But I highly recomend 2-3 people if you can convinse people to help ;) doing the the roof by myself almost made me quit haha

I'm using Oracal 970RA, supposedly it should be easily removable for up to 4 year.... After a week I removed the wrap on the trunk to redo it and it came off clean...But it also remove some paint around the trunk key hole :(

I'm hoping to get the other rear fender/A pillars done tonight.
