Hey all, okies here's the dealios...my friend sold his car so he's giving me his SAFC. But he was in a rush so instead of unplugging the pins from the ECU, he just cut the wires. Now my question is, do I have to buy new pins or can I just krimp the wires to hook up to my car?? Also, he can't find the box with the instruction manual...so does anyone by chance know where I can download a instruction manual on how to install for our car??? Sorry, I'm a bit illiterate on this product :-?

just tap the wires to the right signals from the ECU

Manuals can be DL'd here;

The harness makes it easy to remove and hide from the dealer :wink:

for the manuals.

i'm sure you don't need the pins, you can just connect them to your ECU wires with scotchlock connections.

Here's an idea if you don't have any DIN slots avail.

Alternatively, use your imagination and you can put it anywhere.

Ok, so I tried to do a search and I tried to look it up on the web, but I'm still a bit confused. I looked @ the APEXI manual for the SAFC but it doesn't have our car listed. So this may sound like a stupid question, but bear with me. Does anyone know how to program it for our car?? I don't want to mess the settings and stuff up, my mechanic is installing it for me but he wanted to know if I knew anyone who would know how to program it specifically for my car so my car doesn't run all jacked up. So, any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated...anything in specific I should know??? Thanks in advance!!!!

sandy,

do you need the wiring or is it all hooked up already? you just need the programming, that's all? you gotta go get it dynoed. try and do a search on speedhawaii forums. there's a couple of shops that does dyno tuning, but make sure they can also tune a S-AFC as well.

that's what i'm gonna do eventually....

I think she's refering to intitailizing the SAFC settings (ie. hotwire, sens in, sens out, #cyl) not tuning (+/- fuel @ x RPM)

If nobody answers by tonight, I'll give you the lowdown when I get home.
