Hey, whats up everyone? I just got myself a gold 2002 solara i-4. I like it a lot so far, i just think its alittle weak on power( BTW its auto). I keep reading on this site about jpp exhaust and headers. Is Jpp an aftermarket company that has the best for solara's? Also what are the cheapest mods i can do for the most power? I want to keep the car kinda classy, not too loud engine noise at idle and normal driving and acclerating. What would be good prefermance upgrades that would keep it somewhat classy but give it some more power?

lazykid, wow an automatic 4 cylinder, not sure I would put too much into that for performance. My guess is turbo is the only way to go but it won't be cheap. As for the JP Performance headers, y-pipe and exhaust, I think they only fit the 6 cylinder. Here is their web site http://www.jpperformancellc.com/

I think with a 4 cylinder automatic I would stick to just making it look good. 8) -JoeB

Since you have the newer 4cyl. You have even less in the way of options than us 5S people. There was some talk in another thread about Toyota working up a supercharger for your 2AZ. Realistically as I know the market, you're best off just getting handling mods until more support becomes available for your motor.

I found that tread for you. Look at xravexboix's post.

Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.
