I was reading through the other threads, but couldn;t find whether or not the HID's are banned in US or not. If anyone has the details, let me know.

Banned August 15. If you already have them it's ok... but aftermarket HID upgrade kits are illegal to sell.

hey i was looking and summit racing still sell hid conversion kits for 650 ....and i just got this catalog....hmm.......

Well its NOT exactly illegal to sell. they just have to label it "For off road or show use only, never operate on public road". However, my another friend was telling me that just a rumor rolling, because he cannot find any info from any gov official site.

every where i go i still see HID for sale so i think its BS even autobac's has the HID's

well, i just purchased a 9000k HID kit from a German company. I shall be getting them in next week... so i guess they are still aloud to sell.
