need help with installing HID foglight

so i just installed 9006 10k hid's for my 2000 solara fog lights but it doesn't want to turn on i flipped the switch a couple of times, turn the car on ect... and nothing seem to work. i threw on the old fog bulbs and turn on the fog lights and they worked perfectly, then i installed the hids fogs on my friends car an impala and it worked fine, i have no idea what might be the problem if someone can help me out that would be great .

i think it might the relay wires idk .

What brand of kit are you using... and have you tried reversing the wires to the ballasts?

i dont know the brand friend gave em to me, and what do you mean reversing the ballest wires

Most kits require you just push the wires from the ballast in to the car's original harness. Having one of the ballast wires switched/ opposite of the other light's can result in them not turning on.

if you cant see the right side right click the photo and drag it you should see it in a little drag window .

In the first pic, looking at the plug that clips in to the ballast, can you plug it in with the clip facing the light output wire? Twist it 180?

And looking at the second pic, the car's white wire is connected to the hid's ballast red. Maybe switch those wires so the red matches with red and white with the black.

thanks man i tryed what you told me to do and it worked perfectly, now the seconced challages is wheere am i going to hide my basslet box

Glad to hear you got it working. As for the ballast box, just 3m double sided tape it to the inside of the bumper or frame.
