1999 solara V6 5-spd and dropped 1.5" wondering what range of sizes anyone is running for winter tires if any on a dropped solara. stored the car last year, but have to drive it this winter (sucks). i would be putting them on the stock 16" wheels.

I put 205/55's on mine - its just one size shorter, but still enough meat to get thru the snow. No rubbing issues that i remember, but i rarely have anyone in the back seat. Course my solara has only seen one winter (not by choice) otherwise it hibernates in the garage til spring lol! BTW im dropped on Intrax springs...

its a good size I just did the same but went with M+S tires 205/55/16. I might run 225/50/16 in the back tho. not sure. Do your tires feel spongy on dry highways at all being made for snow?

for me i went from 18"s with 40 series tires. so yeah, they feel a little spongy. i can take speed bumps like nobodies business now. on the hwy i haven't really noticed much of a difference. although i'm not trying to push it with winter tires.

I just got some 215/60/16's Toyo observe g02+. Didn't put them on yet but I hope it's gonna clear. I'm on Tein springs with rolled fenders, should be no problem
