I'm soon going to be getting money flow from the sale of my old rims/tires and my old stock exhaust. I'm very confused as to what I should spend the money on. Here's what I'm thinking as my options:

1) Red Neon undercar Glow
2) Springs/Struts
3) Exhaust Work

My problem is that the Struts are gonna cost me a lot, and installation is a lot, and on top of that, Im afraid that Ill scratch a lot and that itll be too low and it'll just be bad. And for the exhaust work...I have the TRD Muffler, but it's just not loud enough for me at low RPMs. I want to keep the muffler no matter what, but I was thinking of getting bigger piping, like 3.5" or 4" and maybe a High Flow Cat. Will these mods make my exhaust louder, or provide more power?

I'm confused, I wanna hear all your thoughts! Thanks!

Do your suspension first. It will make the car look better, and perform better. Think of it as a 2 for 1 special :). The drop on the Eibach kit is not overly aggressive, and even with my 1.8 drop (Intrax) I don’t have any trouble with speed bumps.

On the exhaust, I would look into one of the header systems that are available on the 1MZ. I think they include the High-Flow cat. I am not sure, but I think running too big of a pipe will hurt your performance especially in the Low-end torque dept. For wanting to be louder, increasing the airflow into the engine might get you there.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

Dude, even if your car is S/C'ed, you wouldn't need a 3.5 inch piping. When you have a loud car at stock height, people will just laugh. You also attract unnecessary attention from cops.

Get some suspensions.

if you've got some money to get springs/struts, or both, then do those. Flash, you've got an A/T right? you may want to stay with the regular piping. catbacks are more beneficial with a M/T; with the Auto it'll growl loudly, but you sacrifice some low-end torque.

Yes, I'm automatic.

I know that Suspension would be my best bang for the buck and all that, but I'm still a relatively new driver (year and a half) and I mean, I still make stupid mistakes like hitting the cement stopper in a parkin spot, and I always think "Man If it was lowered I would have done some real damage" Also there's another thread goin on about suspension voiding insurnace, and that's something I DONT NEED, so im heavily against it now.

As for the exhaust, if I didn't get a high flow cat, and got say 4" piping after the cat back to the muffler, I know I'll lose some low end torque, but I really don't race or anything, so I just want it to sound good, so would it make a large difference? And the Red neons, I just always liked the look of...

there's nothing wrong with my exhaust growl... its more on the purring side :) and i like it.

as for getting bigger pipping on the TRD muffler; there is no point in going any larger than 2.25 since the muffler inlet itself is that wide. imo, just go for 2.25 pipping with no resonator. the result should get a little bit louder and deeper, but that is all.

underglow kits really aren't my thing, and it seems like you're against a suspension upgrsade...why don't you work your exhaust from the manifolds back...i'm with everyone else about incraasing the pipesize though...

check out moe's manifold and y pipe...

well if youre afraid of insurance voids, I think your main concern is that neon kit attracts cops...

the "louder" exhaust you want also attracts cops...

So the best deal is the suspension, but you say you run into curbs a lot so i dunno...
im sure youll take care of your car once you got it lowered :D
