SAFC2

Postby zaior3684 » Tue Feb 07, 2012 6:51 am

So I need an opinion, right now all I have done to my car is Lowering Springs and an Intake, but I am getting my exhaust in the next month. Now that we have this facebook group running a lot of people are telling me to get an SAFC2. Can someone explain to me exactly how they work? I know its to tune the car but I just dont seem to understand how I would use it. Also where can i pick one up and is it worth it for me to get one with just intake and catback? Thanks a lot guys :D

probably won't do anything for you as far as performance without any power adders. maybe a coolness factor.
heres a link to their site.

A piggyback (safc2) is only used if you have made upgrades to your fuel (injectors, bigger lines, larger fuel pump etc. ) and airflow (full exhaust, intake, supercharged blah blah blah) all it does is tunes your fuel and air to react together. if your car is mostly stock from the way you put it, it basically is i wouldnt suggest you do it until you start messing with fuel, and if you start messing with fuel that usually means your going with the supercharged route. It would be a waste of money to put one on now. If you still want one which is up to you then they usually go for 150-190 used. New im not too sure probably over 250.

everything hooks up to the ecu, they ususally come with a harness, but if you have never messed with anything to do with electrical or even the ecu of any vehicle i wouldnt recomend you do this yourself.

ya no tuning yourself, find a tune shop close to you, where you can put your car on a dyno.
