Help me out on new rims

Help me out on new rims

Postby KingKevin » Mon Jun 04, 2012 9:25 pm

Alright so its time for an upgrade on rims on my car. Im selling my old craigslist rims and getting some brand new ones! Problem is I'm having a hard time choosing. At first I thought a black 5 spoke with chrome lip would be best but after a while I kinda changed my mind with seeing the other choices out there. I also was considering wheel weight but a lot of the rims dont say how much they weigh. Anyways here are a few of the ones I'm looking at.

I have a balck solara lowered on tein springs.

I'm leaning towards the Motegi right now but a little hesitant on the color. Anyways let me know what you guys think and feel free to post some links with suggestions if you want! thanks

Ha! Motegi, i've actually been looking at those. My car is white so I have been thinking gunmetal, but the black ones are cool too. Plus, they are light weight and pretty cheap. Get em.

ok so ive pretty much ruled out the DRIFZ. Now its between the Kazera and the Motegi. They both have pros and cons. Motegis are lighter but i think the Kazera look better. Also does anybody know if the kazera are made of real carbon fiber? That has got to be fake right. But now im worried about the looks of fake carbon fiber... AHHH I cant decide. I might have to start a new thread and make a poll!

If those are really cf, they would be crazy light!!! I don't know how well it would support the cars weight though, bet it's just a finish.

Those look good with the white!!! Are they 17's or 18's?

Thanks! The CF is just a layer on top for style, not sure if its real or not, but its not bad of a wheel. Mine are 17s i dont want it any bigger, and soo i will be getting new tires 225/45/17 Thinner profile. these are used that i bought for temp, and they are thicker, and less wide, 215/50/17

lol you're not going to find a carbon fiber wheel for $150, they're aluminum.

If I had to pick from those rims, I'd pick the Kazera and push the rears out with spacers so they don't look sunk in.
