Forced induction would be the way to cause enough votlrtex suction to make a power difference. Otherwise, its for fun suction sounds.

Wow that thread brings back memories

BTW if you go with a tachoma throttle body spacer here is some info you may want from when I installed mine.

OK I got it in. The Home Depot did not have 65mm m8X 1.25 bolts just 70 and 60, so in a lapse of good judgment I got 60mm The fit on the top 2 holes no washer. I will be getting 70 mm eventually. 60 mm does NOT fit the bottom 2 holes. I used the 90 mm that came with it and 2 washers each from the kit; I will probably try 70 mm later on. Other than that install was easy.

How did it feel well it is hot out today so I cannot wait for evening to really have fun but I do feel like midrange has had a nice improvement and I would recommend it as a cheap mod for other people. Second gear feels a lot nicer and the powerband feels smoother. I will try to get pictures soon.

****** Update
On the top use m8 X 1.25 70mm long and on the bottom use 2 of the 90 mm long that came with the kit and 2 washers under each 90 and 1 under each 70mm. You will need to also buy 2 m8 washers for the top sense the kit only comes with 4.
*******

Thanks yeah i got all the bolts that was mention, I actually got all of them from Home Depot too :) autozone where I am at only had a max of 45mm long. I have bolted everything on but the car wont start when i took it back apart and put my SAI back on it started up normally. Maybe i did something stupid or left something out, I will try it again.

Hey Steve, how did you go fitting the TBS??

I just fitted an Injen intake w/CAI and TBS and i couldn't get my car to start...took the TBS off left the intake fitted and it starts fine???
Wondering if you have to adjust the throttle cable or something else when you fit it....
