Pretty much what Gznutz said. The most common piggy backs used on our platform are the Apexi Safc2 and Split Second FTC.

Ok catch cans are efficient, i have Greddy catch can that i have not installed yet. Also little bit of oil in the intake is a start, rings are worn out its just going to get worst so prepare yourself in the future for a rebuild. Thats how mine started a few years back.

Another thing oiled filters are not good for our MAF sensors no matter how little or how much you put on the filter, you can pick up a k&n dry filter.

Hopefully the CEL won't have any long term adverse affect since I'm still getting decent gas mileage at around 21 to 23 mpg.

I'm at 157k right now and optimistically aiming for 300k before a rebuild is in order
But yeah I'm using an oiled conical filter right now from k&n I got for free and will switch to a dry one later

well mine since i am boosted and ran it at 5.5lbs with no meth, my engine died at 150k, and i boosted it when it had 102k. Didnt last me too long.

Okay so after reading about oil catch cans and the possible danger of having oil leak into the intake tube from the hose that connects on the left side of the intake tube before the throttle body, I'm wondering how bad is it if there is a bit of oil in the intake tube. I recently cleaned the throttle body and found oil in the intake tube leaking from the hose that dinoxor found in his tube also. I have the stock intake tube along with the stock airbox with only a drop k&n filter.

If you have a stock intake, not much.
My injen intake was designed where the inlet from the blow by is in front of the maf so the oil may have and affect on it. But with a stock intake not so much.
Here's a diagram.

Injen: tb -- maf -- vacuum inlet from crank case (blow by) ---- filter

Stock: tb --- vacuum inlet----maf---- filter

<============= flow of air

So the flow of oil from the vacuum will splatter into my maf

Oh okay, that makes sense. How are you liking your Injen intake? Ive seen a lot of people on here with those and have been hearing good reviews. Im looking into it since my K&N drop in filter does not seem to fit right in the box. The two little notches that connect on the inner part of the box don't seem to close completely when I close the box. It will clip closed, it just wont fit completely like the oem filter would fit.
