Sorry there hasnt been an update for while, been very busy but yes they found another block for me, pistons are paid and ordered for, Im picking up a snow performance meth kit and a whiteline front sway bar from greg today, so now all im doing is waiting on arias to shoot over the pistons which will take 4-5 weeks to make. After that another week or two to assemble the short block and it should be back in the solara.

One change was made tho, i ditched the idea of going with a 9.0:1 CR, i brougth it up to a 9.5:1 forged arias. A little more power i guess, and plus i shouldnt be hurting anything as long as i spray methanol. Im also talking to Gabe for me to get some ARP rod bolts to go with nice pistons.

Anyways here are some pics of last week when i took a look at my block and my heads, and a nice picture of the piston that caused it all. lol

This is the new block all cleaned up and just a simple rough bore to see how the cylinder walls were

and (drumroll please) the disgusting piston head that i kept becuase its a nice memory lol

Ok so on Friday I went over to Gregs, and picked up a Snow performance methanol injection kit. With a 325ml nozzle and a 175. I might just get another 325ml and ditch the 175.

I picked up a 3 guage pod that mounts to the center of the dash, and i picked up a whiteline front sway bar. (not in the picture) Im going back next week for more goodies, but overall things are looking good. Im waiting on the machine shop to get my pistons to finish my block. Then I just gotta drop it in.

Lol I feel like I'm teasing myself. I really want to drive it again. The original plan was to have this done by christmas. But plans always have delays so I'm aiming for the end of febuary.

Yeh I've considered it. But it requires a lot of harness modding and I don't know if I'm ready to hack my harness lol. Ill see if I can make it look cleaner by hiding the harness but I'm not too sure yet.

UPDATE GUYS!

Finally my Arias Forged pistons are done, the heads are done. The engine was supposed to be out and at my buddies garage this week, butttt i stopped the maching shop from assembling the short block, since i plan on spraying nitrous on this set up i thought the stock rods would be useless and will probably give me issues later. So i pulled the trigger and bough Eagle 22R forged rods, they should be in monday and then ill take them into the Machine shop and they will machine them and install them.

Ill keep everyone posted on whats next
