Alternator upgrade

Alternator upgrade

Postby BabyFaceFinster » Mon Nov 16, 2015 1:48 pm

I have my S/C V-6 Convertible for over 15 years and think its time for a new alternator. If i am not mistaken the factory one is 80 amps and id like to upgrade to a 105amp.

Any recommendations on one that will fit?

thanx

I believe the one from the Toyota Highlander and Lexus RX300 should fit. The one from the same 1mzfe engine. I'm not sure about the amp difference. I was going to switch myself, but I hear it's not worth it if you're not running anything crazy.
